令和7年5月3日 殿様街道探訪ウォークin春が開催されました。
May 3, 2025 –“Tonosama Kaidou Walk in Spring” was held.
“Tonosama Kaidou Walk” is a tour to walk an old road in spring and autumn.
“Tonosama” means lord in matsumae domain.
今回は『伊能忠敬の道 原敬の道』をテーマに実施し、全国各地よりお申込みいただき、定員は満員となりました。
This year’s event was held under the theme “The Route of Inō Tadataka and the Route of Hara Takashi,” and registrations poured in from all over Japan, filling every available slot.
前夜の雨で足元がぬかるんでいたものの、当日は爽やかな気候のもと、開会を迎えることができました。
Despite muddy footing from the previous night’s rain, we were greeted by clear, refreshing weather at the opening ceremony.
今回のために制作された垂れ幕を背に記念撮影。
We took a commemorative photo in front of the special banner created for this event.
スタート地点での解説。
福島町教育委員会の鈴木学芸員と、福島町史研究会の中塚会長により道中の要所数か所にて解説がありました。
At the starting point, Curator Suzuki of the Fukushima Town Board of Education and Mr. Nakatsuka, Chair of the Fukushima Town History Research Association, provided historical commentary at several key locations along the route.
殿様街道の案内役、森の名手 笹島さんお手製の蓑を身に着けて歩く方もいました。
Some participants even donned the straw capes handmade by Mr. Sasajima, the forest expert and guide of the Tono-sama Kaido.

At the site of the old battery emplacement, further explanations were given.
旧国鉄の鉄橋での解説。
今回は鉄橋を渡ることができなかったのですが、その下をくぐって先へ進むルートを楽しみました。
At the former JNR railway bridge, we were unable to cross this time, but enjoyed the alternative route that led us safely underneath it.
殿様街道は山あり谷ありで、前夜の雨による増水で水量がいつもより多い箇所もありましたが、参加者の皆様は元気に探訪を楽しまれていました。
The Tono-sama Kaido features rolling hills and valleys, and with streams swollen from last night’s rain, certain sections had more water than usual—but participants enthusiastically embraced the adventure.
歩いた後は、千軒そばをいただきました。
その後、松前神楽保存会の皆さんによる松前神楽を鑑賞しました。
After the walk, everyone savored local “Sengen soba.”
Next, we enjoyed a performance of Matsumae Kagura by the Matsumae Kagura Preservation Society.
最後は獅子舞で締めくくり、参加者は獅子に頭を噛まれて無事厄除けを祈念しました。

Finally, the event concluded with a lion dance, during which participants had their heads “bitten” by the lion to pray for protection from misfortune.
